my personal shift

I am blessed to realize I’m blessed.  I see gifts in every person and each moment.  I know from experience that the answers and power we seek are already within us, and, at the just right time, someone can show up with the right questions to help unblock our potential.

This wasn’t always the truth for me.

For the first 30 years of my professional life, I had the success I desired: high income, recognition and travel.  Along the way, a voice kept telling me that I was meant for something more transformative.  And then, in the middle of the night in one of the many hotel rooms while traveling for my business, I received an empowering affirmation (bottom of page) that changed my life.  From that moment on, I was not satisfied in my career and life's choices – I wanted more depth and authenticity.  However, my fears of leaving “safety” for the risky unknown kept me from acting on that first call.  Month after month, I became even more overwhelmed and unfulfilled while my life (and the lives of those close to me) began to fall apart.

Suddenly, my life upended.  Within a month's time, my wife and I separated, I moved to a different town, several family members were hospitalized and I was fired from my job.  I was experiencing my Dark Night of the Soul.

As I let the familiar fall away to create a new void, my life began to flow –  naturally and effortlessly.  I spent much of my time looking inside, and simply (but not always easily) accepting what showed-up.  I deepened my meditation practice, immersed myself into numerous methods of personal development and practiced what I learned.  I discovered that “finding myself” is a misnomer - nothing is hidden once all is accepted after letting go. My life became more energetic and purposeful.  Positive people and empowering opportunities were showing-up that supported my higher self.

I am now living a life that flows and serves myself and those around me.  I feel empowered and take responsibility for my life. I am closer and more deeply in love with my wife. My professional life is flourishing while being of service. I am more deeply connected to my experiences; and my life is more peaceful and purposeful.  I am also continually blessed with confirmation that I am helping others reach their goals by removing old self-limiting beliefs

I am unrealized potential.
I am made in God’s image.
I am unlimited creativity.
I am boundless energy.
I am unstoppable.
I am a gift from God.
